Results of numerical investigation flow and performance characteristics a rectangular supersonic intake with boundary-layer bleed system are presented. The effects several flush slot geometric parameters including entrance exit area, plenum size, rear edge vertical displacement the position relative to incident shock have been studied clarify their on compression performance. viscous flowfield has obtained by solving Favre averaged Navier-Stokes equations shear stress transport (SST) k-ω turbulence model. Moreover, methodology deployed is validated experimental data from literature. analysis carried out in freestream Mach number range 1.8-2.5 at 00 angle-of-attack, corresponding unit Reynolds approximately 1.9−2.7×107 m−1. results show that use bleed, uniformity as well critical peak total pressure recovery (TPR) improves considerably all operating conditions. Furthermore, indicates throat area particular design condition can be increased up point such it just sufficient eliminate upstream its operation. variation or only alters depending supercritical mass loss; however, TPR sustainable backpressure remains same conditions, controlled fixed-exit area.
